We have been hinting at this feature for a while, most recently in our Magistrala as a Framework post, and today we are making it official. Solution packs fundamentally change how you get started with Magistrala. Instead of spending weeks reading documentation and learning the platform before you can build anything, you can now install a working solution in minutes and start sending messages immediately. The platform knowledge can come later, at your own pace.

What Are Solution Packs?

Solution packs are pre-built, ready-to-install solutions available on the Magistrala platform. Each pack provisions everything a solution needs (devices, channels, data processing rules, dashboards, and more) with a single action. All you need to get started is an account and a domain.

The goal is simple: get you from sign-up to a running solution as fast as possible, without requiring deep knowledge of how Magistrala works under the hood.

What’s Included in a Solution Pack

Each solution pack ships as a complete, working unit. Here is what you get when you install one:

Clients: pre-configured devices or applications, ready to publish messages
Channels: clients are automatically connected to the appropriate channels
Groups: clients and channels are organized into logical groups that mirror real-world separations, such as sites, floors, or zones
Rules: pre-built processing logic that handles your raw messages out of the box. Rules can save data internally or to an external database, trigger alarms, send email or Slack notifications, and forward processed messages to other channels
Report configurations: scheduled or on-demand reports are set up and ready to run
Dashboards: real-time and historical visualizations provisioned and wired to your data sources

Beyond the entities themselves, every solution pack includes two supporting pages:

Details page: an overview of everything the pack ships with: the number of entities, what each is used for, the dashboards included, the reports generated, and more
Instructions page: visible once the solution is installed, this walks you through how to send messages, which configurations to complete, how to share dashboards with your team, and anything else you need to hit the ground running
